This forum has gone for 15 pages on the S3 forum.

I'm 57 will be 58 this year in August this year, just riding bikes, is my main interest, most of the time can't wait to get for a ride, meet up other riders and shoot the breeze.

The forum suggests most S3 riders are 40 something with a mid-life crisis.

In truth I'm 57 going on 20 something, curious to see what other Sprinters on this forum feel about this.

56 and like BazzSt I act like I'm in my 20s. Bikes keep you young.

hehe, I'm 47. Don't know about the midlife crisis, at lest its effect on my bikes as I've ridden all my life, I've just got more than one now. (always been a harley guy, I've picked up an S3 in the last year)

I'll be 58 in April. Riding since 18 with a longish break, now riding again for about 8 yrs and making up for the break.

My goal has been to ride 20K per year and do at least one Iron Butt ride every year. In '06 I did a PA-1000 in April - that is 1000 miles within PA in less than 24 hrs (16 actually). Then in June I rode from Phila out to LA in 4 days to attempt a "50cc" on the way back: coast-to-coast in 50 hrs. Unfortunately my BMW blew out its splines in NM, with only 20K on the odometer (no help whatsoever from the factory on the return home or repairs) Now I'm back to Triumph with an 03 Sprint.

36 and three quaters.

Had bikes since I was 11 but only started riding them when I got one that worked, probably 2 years after that. This is certainly the most grown up bike I have ridden though, but still have fond memoried of those fs1e's and honda 125 hotrods.

Someone with too much time on their hands.....went back over the S3 age thread some time back, and calculated the average age of the hooligans who ride speed triples.

The youngest was 20, the oldest 67, and the average age was 41. I can't speak for everyone on the forum, but I had my midlife crisis some years ago, but at 54 I will admit the Speedy makes me feel young again :-D

Hey Bazza ! I'm 58 on your other post (my actual age), but I'll try 28 on this post, that way we can bring the average age down.

Learned to ride during spring/summer of '66 or '67 on my friend's new Suzuki X-6, 350 cc 2-stroke, vertical twin, 29 h.p. I just basically got on it and rode it. Fun bike. Used to go to the Honda shop all through the early 60s and sit on the bikes. The 250s & 305 Superhawk, my teenage fantasy bike, seemed huge then. But living in Iowa, with its harsh 4-season climate, I needed an all season vehicle and bought my first car in spring '67.

There is running water and standing water, but why is there no sitting water or jogging water ?

58 in July...does that make me the oldest f*#t on the post? I'm waiting with sweaty palms to ride one of the new Tigers. Since I've probably done more miles on old Husqvarna's than anything else the adventure type bikes might be just what I need to keep puttering around for another 20 years. Contrary to popular belief, you're only as old as you think...
