Do you remove the little trip meter reset knob form the speedometer on a 96 Adventurer? That little dude is stubborn!

Must be my old age, but I did not see one. Even stuck a small driver in there with no joy! I'll have another go at it.

Some don't have the screw, even tho' the fiches don't show this. If no screw, it's a tight push fit. But bear in mind, these clocks were not made to be accessible for repair.

Well that makes me nervous. Need to remove it so I can pull the gauge and replace the rubber grommet that has turned to goo.

My 96 T-bird has a screw a #0 phillips screwdriver to get it out.

Best to leave the clock on the bike so you can push hard on the screw so you don't risk burring the head. It screws into plastic so it won't be rusted in place but a little wd40 will help ease it out.

There are two different types of rubber rings that hold the clocks in place.
