I removed the fuel tank on my Trophy 900 to change the spark plugs and wires, so I had to disconnect some hoses and wires. Next to the fuel level sender is a pipe with a rubber hose attached to it, that leads somewhere into the unknown, down along the main frame tube in front of the battery area. I haven't figured out yet where it goes, but I need to replace it as the end that attaches to the fitting on the tank is split. Is this some kind of vent tube or ? It looks like vacuum hose. I'll try to attach a photo of the bottom of the tank. Thanks!

Its a vent/overfill hose fitting.needs a pipe atteched to it

On my 1999 Trophy it runs down past the engine, into a small hole cast into the block, which then leads the hose to under the engine, venting to the ground

Its pretty important unless you want fuel splashing onto your starter😮😮
