Any luck?

I realize this thread is almost 3 years old, but I have run into a similar problem with my heated gear draining my 3-month old battery. Any luck finding a higher output alternator, or replacing light bulbs with LEDs?

I'm kinda suprised that your having amperage issues on the tbs since they are known to put out high amps. Another thing to consider may be a high amphr battery.

There may be a company that re winds armatures for greater current capacity. Goldwing riders have this done for toaster installation/use. (I kid)
Also, Honda XR500/600/650 alternators are re wound for larger lighting or street legal conversions. Baja Specialties is one such Company. (I no kid.)

I have to think you must be doing mostly city driving. On my TBS I can run my Gerbing's heated gloves, heated jacket liner, heated pants liner, and heated socks all day long with no issues whatsoever. However, I'm doing 90% country driving so the RPMs are up at 3K or above most of the time.
