Hey all,

I am the proud owner of a '73 daytona 500 since about 1996. It has seen some ups and down over the years, and was parked for the last 8 or 9 years. I am currently rebuilding it ground up. It won't be pretty, and it won't be the fastest on the block, but it will run again soon.

I am a linux sysadmin now. But I have been a mechanic, trucker, autobody restorer, treeplanter, seismic driller...

I love wrenching, riding, computers, and making music.

Thanks folks. I was hoping to get it finished this week, but my skills at electrical work were lacking. So instead of fighting with it I have ordered a tri-spark and a solid state regulator. this should take enough wires out of the mix that my tiny brain can handle it.

Of course right after ordering I realized that the messed up part is more likely to be in the headlight/handlebars than anything I just paid for :p
