HI

Charlie hare from London.

I'm the proud owner of a Sprint 1050. I've owned her for about 5 years now and loved nearly every minute of riding her.

I've had a couple of 1000 km days on her and am planning on riding from the US east coast to New Mexico come next summer .

Has anyone got any tips - bike hire - I HAVE to do the trip on a Sprint :), route to take, best time of year weather wise etc.

As I'll be flying over from uK I can start pretty much anywhere, but I'll be ending up in Santa Fe, where my sister lives, on the bike and driving the rest of the way to Cali with my lady in a car. although having done that drive already I'm thinking that doing it on a bike would be awesome - but you know what some women are like about being on the pillion.

cheers

Charlie

As far as time of year, Oct/Nov are good. During the summer the heat is stifling and the rain damn near constant (of course you being form the UK may have a different opinion... :D) Cold in the south is easily managed with some electric gear.

If you plan to be in Florida, let me know.
