I need to know what the hex cap screw size is that secures the dampening rod in a Bonneville T120 2018 bike is.
I am burrowing a friend's impact wrench but will need to buy one of these impact socket like Allen head drivers. I live about 40 minutes from the nearest lace i can buy one in person. So I need to have it before i tear the front end apart.

any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I’m pretty sure theyre 8mm. You may need one with a long Allen section. I have to turn my normal length socket on a lathe to get it to drop into hole in slider. I’ll check later, I have the stock parts off the bike, and easy to see.

8mm and you will for sure need a deep reach one, they area real challenge to remove. I tried cutting an old 8mm allen key down and using that in an 8mm impact socket. It ended up twisted like a bit of Fusilli pasta after some serious beasting with my impact wrench. I ended up drilling out the bolt heads.
