I found one for a good price and it seems to be a good quality exhaust. Just didn't know if the 97-01 Daytonas mount differently than the 97-01 S3s. I thought they were pretty much the same, but wanted to be sure.
So long as the link pipe is held on by two retaining springs you should be fine as it was only on the 02+ bikes that the diameter of the header/link pipe connection changed between the Daytona and S3
