Hi All,

Need some advice here... Could anyone please let me know of their own experience/reviews. I need to replace old tyres with some new rubber for my America? I'd appreciate our UK brethren to contribute to this one, as my main concern would be grip/stability in the wet.

Metzelers! OE on Speedmasters, good grip during wet conditions. I live in a hurricane-prone area, so it rains alot around here, have never had a bad experience with the Metzelers when it was wet outside.

+1 RoundSlide. I put Metzelers on my America too. I ride in the rain A LOT in the mountains. I wish I changed them out from day 1. Avon Venom 41/42 supposed to be just a hair stickier, good rain grip w/ little less mileage.

Good luck!

Def the Metzlers. And if it's any help I ride all weathers and found they had very good grip in the wet.

Better than the Bridgestones I have on the new one... can't wait till they're worn out and I can get the Metzlers on this one too!

Another metzler vote. I have 13,000+ on mine and just now ordered replacements. They stuck to everything, including dirt/gravel roads. Ssjones was right on the best prices stateside. I just recieved two new metzlers from americanmototire. It was the best price I found.

Just to be different,
I put a set of Bridgestone Spitfire tires on. I have no complaints ast all and 6000 miles show almost no sign of wear on the centers.
These tires are OEM on the new Ducati GT1000 :-D

Hey Matt, I guess the places I compared tires didn't carry that model on their site listings. I've seen them on the Duc's and they look good. I know you get rain in Florida, how about a product report, price, handling wet/dry curves, mileage compared to other tires you tried.

I agree with everyone who said to replace your tires with Metzler's. In fact my new Lazertec for the rear just got delivered yesterday. I've decided that Metzler's may be the only tires ever to grace my T100.

I used them on my RZ350 and had very good experiences with them. They work well in the rain and stick like glue in the dry.

For the rear, I am still sold on the Bridgestone. I still have my stock front and rear tire with almost 17,000 miles on it and it still looks great. I can easily make it to 20,000 before having to even consider replacing the back tire. My front is about done though. I was gonna try that Spitfire on the front.
