Has anyone had this problem my 05 speed triple is running just fine except sometimes when riding all the ignition lights flash and rev counter goes round the same as when you first turn the ignition on, the bike carries on working normally though and doesn't cut out or do anything weird just the problem above!!

Check the wiring harness really carefully in the area of the steering head, paying extra attention to anyplace the harness is wire tied. I'll bet one of the wires is starting to chafe thru in the harness.

Thanks i have checked all connectors just wanted to make sure it wasn't a common fault but i will go over the wiring again with a magnifying glass i thought someone might be able to narrow my search as everything runs fine when it happens.

Make sure the battery connections are tight. A buddy of mine's did just that and the negative lead to the battery was loose. And mine died the other day and...wait for it...the positive lead to the battery was loose.

Check the voltage on the battery when you start it.

Check and clean the main ground and battery terminals.

thanks guys i will do that this weekend, my battery is getting tired so could be the problem, have also got some spanking new pilot power cts in my hands so will be fitting those as well and hopefully a ride on sunday ance02:

Fitted a new battery and problem has gone so far anyway im hoping its gone forever :ChequeredFlag
