About a month ago, I picked up my very own 2006 Bonneville. My face hurts from smiling. TORs on. AI gone. I find myself staring at her in the garage alot. She needs a name though, something that celebrates her silver beauty or her English heritage. Something cool or classy, sexy or seductive. Here's some possibible contendas:

Brando. Fonzie. Jimmy Dean? wrong gender.

Ali? McQueen rode an Ali.

Regan? After the little girl in the Exorcist. The Evil B'ville has a nice ring to it. It should be saved for a Blackie though. Somewhere here I saw a picture of a Black at the Georgetown steps featured in the Exorcist movie. That bike should have this moniker, not mine. Besides, too creepy.

Emmy Lou? Emmy Lou Harris is one of my favorite female singers. She's got beautiful silver hair too.

Any suggestions?

Personally I see nothing wrong with "Bonnie".Yes,there are lots if Bonnevilles with that name,but who cares? If not for any other reason tell people that you named it after the late great AC/DC frontman Bon Scott! He liked motorcycles(rode a Triumph),and his nickname was Bonnie. Athough the Band was from down under,they had very strong British Heritage.

Yes, in the biblical sense. Are you saying he also named a bike after her?

I remember seeing them together at some of the vintage bike meets back in the 1970s. As I remember they split up. She, over his drinking and him over her tightassedness.

I named mine after my last vehicular obsession, a 2003 Miata SV. My Bonnie's name? Mia. Short, simple, and pretty easy to remember. I don't suggest you should go and name your baby Mia, but perhaps this gives you an idea where to start looking for inspiration!

My Rossa also know as Rosie got her name in two ways, besides being red and silver and therefore somewhat appropriate it was really about the ferrari testarossa which smokes and so does my bike compared to my car.
dont rush the name - btw - my wife calls Rossa " my girlfriend"

I have no doubt you'll probably get plenty of great suggestions and the right name will come along. Trust me, you'll get the right name and you will know it when it comes.

Naming my machine was real easy. It is called the " The Last One". I'm not sure if it is because it is the last one I purchased, or the last one I'll be allowed to purchase.

Regardless, "the last one" rings in my ears, because my wife shouted those words out when I brought it home from the dealer.

I tried to think of some names before I picked up my Yellow/Black Bonnie but nothing seemed to work until, on my first rideout on her I noticed that wasps were attracted to the colour. So "Honey" it was, and it really suits her.

Like others have said, the right name will come along and you already know you need to get one that's "just right" for a machine so beautiful. Good luck with the inspiration!

I guess you can call her what ever you like.., But her name is
BONNY and, she will always be Bonny. No matter what color
