I thought I read somewhere about the Hayabusa Calipers being a bolt on mod. What years?
Also what about the master cylinder? From a R1? What years?
What about brake lines? How long?
I haven't even picked up my bike yet and I am probably going to get some stuff off ebay for it.

Not sure of the years but the Tokico 6 pot calipers from the upside down forks on Suz GSXR 750/1000/TL 1000/Hayabusa--and some other of the Japanse bikes.Direct bolt on for earlier Sprints(1999---) not sure on yours.Later models were radial mount calipers and will not work.
I used stock master cylinder, worked great.

Hi as for the R1/R6 master cylinder the one i have is 14mm and so is the R6 one.
The Kawi ZX6R 97-02 comes with the 6 piston calipers and a master cylinder that is 5/8" so it's bigger than the yamaha one.
The 6 piston calipers are Tokico and the master cylinder is a Nissin so it's the same as the Suzy stuff.

For the R1/R6 rear master this is a Brembo and they are cheap and easy to find on fleabay.
I have a set for both the R1 and R6.
The R6 rear caliper is a 4 piston and the R6 is a 2 piston caliper.
From just looking at them it looks like it should fit well on the
2001 Sprint RS and I'm hoping it will fit up on the Sprint ST since I'm doing a sssa conversion.

I have some xtra parts for the rear and also a set of 6 piston calipers for the front and if someone is interested they can Pm me
Sadly the calipers don't fit on my R6 front end

:(

I installed a 16mm R1 Brembo Radial Master Cylinder and the brakes now work great. No more squishies. $130 new from Ron Ayers. I bought the one from the '04. but any of the radials will work. Just check out the schematics online.

I'm not going to touch the calipers unless they become a problem. Lots of people seem to have had issues here, though. But unless it becomes necessary, adding the extra unsprung weight of the 6 pots will not help the handling much.

The Hayabusa & 01/02 GSXR-1000 6 pots are NOT the same - the pitch between the mounting holes is different.

Incidentally the K1/2 GSXR 1000 racers actually remove the 6 pots & fit the 600/750 4 pots from that era as an improvement.

The 6's sure look sexier though!
