Same for me Scrambler,
I used to work at the Harley dealer and wore a t-shirt every day....I must have had 40+.
When I bought the Triumph, I got rid of them all except for the Fat-Boy t-shirts, for obvious reasons.

It's changed the comments I get about my bike for sure. I'd say that's good.

Before when I had Kawasakis nobody even noticed but my Daytona gets lots of attention. Mostly from people who didn't know Triumph was even still in business. And I'll often get the old timer who had a Bonnie back in the day but I enjoy making that connection, sure don't get that with Jap bikes.

At the Rat Raids my 96 is usually the only T3 Daytona in attendance. A lot of Triumph riders say they've never seen one before. I know there are a few of them out there but I seldom see one. It's cool that it's so rare, I like that.

My Daytona was my ultimate dream bike. To me, my Daytona is a symbol of my freedom of choice. It shows that I set a goal for myself, decided to follow through with my decision and did it.

I get a few more remarks, but most of them are in German...

Yes, it's changed my life; I'm hooked on Triumphs, and I've found a lot of friends on some web site where people gab on and on about Triumphs, motorcycles in general, and life as an experimental science.

Well the number of nostalgic Old Fellas that tend to chat to me about the fact that they used to have a Triumph back in the 60's has certainly gone up. That'll no doubt be me in 40 years - "Ah, I remember the happy days of the T3......"

The Rocket III has definitely given me a renewed interest. People are constantly asking me about it. I am approached by curious HD riders. (Their bikes pale in comparison) The funny thing is that a HD rider and friend triggered my interest in getting another bike. She had a lorider.

I started riding in the summer of 2002.

a 2001 Sprint ST was my first bike. Now it's a big hobby in my life that my wife and I enjoy very much.

No change really. A bit different direction. My gasoline addiciton used to be channeled into old Chevys and Suzukis, now it is channeled into old Chevys, the Triumph, and boxes of Norton bits. Same behavior. Same rolled eyes from my everlastingly patient wife. Same smarty pants comments from my son. Same trash talk from my riding buddies. With the TT600, it was always this reaction- we just got passed by a what???? Now, with the 675 the reaction is always- oh, of course he passed us, he has one of those.

And, I am still kinda slow.

The Speedmaster arrived in November 2005 and my life has definitely improved on many levels. In the past year I've put over 8,500 miles on the bike and loved every second of it.

I commute on it whenever possible and on Saturdays and Sundays the wife joins me for joyriding and exploring. We've been to places and on roads within an hour or two of home that we had never seen before, or hadn't been to in years. Plenty of fresh air and fun. We've met some great Triumph people along the way and hope to meet more this year.

Riding a motorcycle has been a great stress reliever too, even when commuting. It's all good! :-D :chug:

I had given up bikes...mid eighties Thought I would kill my self, I always rode like a hooligan never really had a licence, here you just got a learners permit for the summer.I kept on riding dirt bike (cause they're much safer" lol"),...I got married about 4 years ago (2nd),,,My wife had gotten here licence in 85 and she really wanted a sport bike,,the cb 650 just was`nt fast enough,,,so we went shopping the yellow tt600 fit her the best
so she bought it(my first pillion ride was on a Triumph) ,,then she asked what are you looking for..I said somthing with torque..Thinking V twin ,I took a sprint for a test ride ...I was hooked ,,she made the down payment...So we joined the Rat group,,we've made a HE!! of alot of new freinds,,and she's now a Co pack Leader

Changed mine I haven't owned anything else for the last 12 years apart from the BSA. The land of the rising sun can only sell me helmets and electrical goods now! My motorcycles come from home and always will now.
