I saw that marked on my Far Side desk calendar at work and wondered about it. Now I know who it's for. What is it for? Waitangi?

Sure would be nice to be riding around in New Zealand today.
Rent a Triumph,go with a group,sample the beer.

I might do it in the future.

I hope the bars are open on Waitangi Day.

Thanks for that Pete!!!!
In case anyone wondered it commemorates the day in around 1850 when the Europeans formalised stealing NZ off the Maoris. Took em about 156 years to actually start honouring the treaty though... At least there was a treaty I guess, unlike for the poor Aborigines in Oz...
cheesr again anyway! - Pat

Here in the U.S. we call it poohtang day. When I was younger it was everyday, now that I am older, I am lucky if poohtang day is once a month.
