M bars, no wait, W bars, yeah definitely M bars, W?
I wanted to cafe it up a bit too so I went through this progression:
- rolled the stock bars, too goofy
- went with the low cafe bars, too wide
- cut the low cafe bars, still too wide because of the bend and controls fitting
- flipped the low cafe bars, still too wide
- went with the M bars, too high
- flipped the M bars.... just right!
Careful, might happen to you too. The flipped M bars are surprisingly comfortable and that little lower forward lean makes a world of difference to control/feeling.
But then a new problem arose - the instruments were now too high. So then I had to go with the D9Mini lay-flat instrument panel. Now she's just about perfect.
The full fenders probably need to be cut down a bit but I can live with them for a while longer.
