Got my '06 R-3 Classic today - 1,800 miles. Unloaded it from a tractor trailer and the bike won't start. It's been sitting around in a garage for a few weeks since it's last start.

I believe the battery is dead. So I went out and bought a battery charger which has been plugged in for about 3 hours now.

How long does it take for an R-3 battery take to charge and am I diagnosing it correctly? Lights work, horn works, instruments work.

Perhaps some more information-does it crank? Do the lights come on with the key?
