I go every year. (work)

Come on down though, start booking your room now or you'll be sorry.

Post up closer to the event and I'll tell you where to go both known and out of the way. The out of the way places are better and you'll maybe get to drink beers with the famous.

I'm not the camping type but there are several I believe. Gotta remember, this is Florida with mosquitoes the size of small birds. Also, the weather tends to really fluctuate that time of year, 80 during the day 40's at night.

Rooms aren't cheap but if you're willing to camp then who cares what the place is like. I'll see if I can scare up a Google earth map of all the places to hit while there.

Yeah I go every year too, I grew up there and my mom still lives there. It's alot of Harleys, but there is things for other bike too. Don't forget to visit the Helmet Shop just north of the Daytona BMW(cycle) dealer on Beach street. They sell almost every kind of helmet and have fantastic prices, jackets and other clothing accessories as well.

Yes, Destination Daytona has a Triumph dealership now.

The demo truck will be at The Speedway though. If they are in the same place as year's past, they will be on the Turn 4 end, not over by Honda, Suzuki, etc.

I made my first bikeweek last year. It's about a 6 hr ride from my house. I couldn't get the wife to go so I went on thursday, and stayed till Saturday. It was pretty cool. Even in the Harley heartland I got quite a few comments on my Bonneville america.
If you want a Hotel, plan on $200.00 a night. I didn't book a room, I went hoping to find one and I did. The first place I stopped was Ormond by the Sea, about 10 miles north of Daytona. A crappy hotel by the interstate outside of the fun was $225.00 a day with a 3 day minimum. :(
In Daytona, after stopping at about 6 hotels found a condo for $200.00 on the beach.
If you haven't been to bikeweek I recomend going. Of course there a a billion harleys there, but most of the guys and girls I talked to rode in from all over, and were not posers.
None of the hotels would allow trailers to park in their lot. There was trailer parking at the airport
I will be going this year. I plan to go to Daytona for a day or 2 then head up the coast into the Carolinas for some real riding into Tennessee and back down to the house.
So let's go.
I really wouldn't mind if folks from west or north of me come down to here and stop for the night and then head out from here. I'm close to Destin and Panama City FL.

I am 90 miles away so I will make a day trip on Saturday and represent. Went to biketoberfest in October. Bikeweek is better. I want to catch some racing at the speedway this time and check out the new Triumph place down there.
I heard that they were trying to a get a dealer down there and now it seems they have :chug:
Need all the network we can get on these bikes. My local dealer sucks so I bought and service in Gainesville. Now Daytona is another option :upthumb:
