Is there any way to calibrate the Zumo 55O GPS system. I use mine alot more in the car than on the bike and have been noticing its a bit behind. For instance I am already making the turn while the unit is saying turn in 60 feet

I don't know that particular unit, but I have several Garmins, the latest being a Nuvi.... The only time I have noticed mine doing that is when the sat signals are poor; then it 'lags' a bit at times.

I don't know of any way to calibrate / change / improve that, perhaps one of those external antenna things might help, but I don't know.

I have a Garmin Nuvi 360 & 760. The 360 has a fold out antenna where as the 760 has it built in. The 360 is spot on showing you where you are whereas the 760 is always lagging behind just as you describe. I reckon that the built in antennas whilst neater are just not as sensitive.
