Hi all,

My Daytona 675 2008 was sitting for 3 years.

I didn't start it up for this period and in the tank was about 5-6 litres of fuel.

I put a new Lithium battery, i changed oil & oil filter and started right up.

The problem is that the fuel light stays always on, even after i fill it several times with fuel and put some fuel injector cleaner.

Then i connected it with a USB OBD cable and TuneECU didn't show any codes.

The odd thing is that fuel consumption on the gauge is always reading 5.5 L/100km.

I'm not sure how the fuel sensor works, but it could be a float. That's how that kind of thing often works. If it's a float, then it may be a while before whatever is gumming it up dissolves. It may also be beyond repair from the varnish.

Kinda funny to think that earlier Daytona 675s are now officially older bikes. Mine is a teenager. They are going to start having old bike issues, like the gummed up fuel level sensor.
