2003 speedmaster. After replacing the stem bearings I checked the front wheel bearings. They sound ok but feel a bit dry. Can this be repacked or are they done? I don't find anything in the manual about repacking. thanks
You might be able to use a small pick tool and pull the seals. I have done that to other bikes but not the Bonneville. But don't wash the old grease out with solvent. Just remove what you can and repack. Maybe blow the old grease out. Pull the seal out at the center not the outer circumference in case they get bent. Centrifugal force will throw the grease out if bent on the outer edge.
