Help, I'm scared!! Please tell me oil on a plug is no big deal!!


I think it might not be a good thing though

Oil inside the combustion chamber isn't a good sign but of your rocker cover gasket is leaking oil into the plug hole as you undo the spark plug you will get that illusion of an oiled up plug? Was she running rough before you removed the plug ??

That's what made me change the plug. I was riding it, the she sort of coughed and lost 'umph'. Sounded like a twin with no power. Saw the wet plug on the left one.

Put new plugs, and rides back to normal........so far

Could you see into the cylinder at all for any pooled oil. If there was oil leaking, it may just have not fouled the plug enough yet to notice. Not sure how easy/if you can see anything though.
