Going to do the fork springs this winter. wondering which spring to use?(ikon or Hagan?).

Are both these springs the same length? seems some people need to cut there spacer down some not or is this a thruxton vs bonnie issue? do both bike have the same forks minus the preload on the thrux?

any info would be appreciated.

Most fork springs, Ikon and Hagon, retail for $110 (US.) For the same money, you can get springs from Works Perfomance or Race Tech that will be matched to your weight. They'll also recommend a spacer length.

You can try different length spacers to change the starting preload on the springs. If turns on the preload adjusters can't dial it in "just right," try a shorter or longer spacer.

Because the forks only travel 4 to 5 inches at most -a spring that's as long as the fork tube isn't necessarily better than a shorter spring with a spacer. Spring rate and preload are the most important factors.

Don't forget to play with oil weight (viscosity), as you will likely want at least one step higher than stock.
