Any of you's out there have any comments or advice on the effectiveness of the S3 Flyscreen as a wind diversion accessory? :-D

Man law this man law that,if you want one get one,i've got one and they do help a bit up to about 140km/h after that it's hold on.Doesn't take long to change back to original if you want to change the look plus it gives something to do whilst drinking.just changed mine back to original in my last session on sat night and went for a ride on Sunday and i could tell the difference. :hammer:

The 02-04 pixie hat just deflects the wind to your shoulders instead of your chest. Makes a noticeable difference, but isn't THAT much better than pixieless.

On a serious note, I rode to Coffs Harbour with a guy on a 2005 with no screen. I had my screen fitted. He averaged an extra litre per 100 kilometers. His was stock, mine had oldsquids and map. Not that it would make any difference in my decision making whether to have screen or not but may be of interest to you "I get 293.63 mile to the tank" types :-D

Thanks 1050, interesting stuff, I could live with the screen, probably taking it off and putting it on depending on mood as others do.

Must be nice riding up and down the Eastern Seaboard. :upthumb:

I'm thinking of buying one myself, rifleart don't buy your accessories thru an NZ dealer, I buy all my stuff thru Jack Lilleys in the UK. For example I priced a Seat cowl from my local dealer $515. From JL delivered to your door in 5 days $333, You could surf the net and probably get them cheaper still.

A flyscreen will also help keep you warmer in the winter. Keeps the windblast off your chest to some degree......
