While checking for air leaks on twin Amal concentrics, both float bowl lower fibre washers were wet with fuel.
If fuel can leak out, air can leak in.
[not because of tickling...not been there for two days]
On closer inspection there appeared to be a gap between the screw-head and the bowl.
Somewhen I fitted chrome-plated brass screws.
These `bottom out` before sealing.
The old plastic screws have a tapered thread and can be screwed all the way in against the washer.
Also the brass ones have a step around the head which is bigger in diameter than the fibre washer ID.
Anyone using the brass ones?
If so you need thicker washers.:D
