I have my sons beautiful graphite gray D675 (frankly, there is no more better looking color!) while he is off on Naval deployment in the Gulf. He’s stationed in Jacksonville, FL, where the bike has suffered from corrosion on the aluminum parts most likely due to the damp sea air; probably made worse by being covered. The most visible corrosion has not yet pitted the metal but is likely to soon. I’m thinking that the best way to attack the problem is with automotive detergent first. But what after that? And what about more permanent protective solution? Anyone have some ideas?

NAPA makes a metal polish that will remove corrosion left after a good washing.

Brooksie/TripleThreat: Much appreciated.

Brooksie, what was it the Brit's could order?

In the meantime I'm off to the NAPA store...
