Instructions consist of a single pic! Before I skin my knuckles and swear in front of the neighbours is there anything I should know?
Do I use the original fittings or those supplied? Anyone care to talk me through all those washers, spacers etc?

I know these are budget bars but I am not planning on using them........Honest

If I can You can

I needed to go and buy a set of torx keys as well as Allen Keys and a Torque wrench will be handy too. Use the fittings supplied and unless you read German use an online translator to get all the spacers and washers Nuts and bolts sorted before you start.

All the usual little problems that go with working in confined spaces,

Nothing too scary. Good luck.:D

I am now considering spot / fog lights but touratech are sooooo expensive, one of the guys over on a commuting site I use suggested ring,

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/..._productId_214268_langId_-1_categoryId_165688

he modded them

I did slightly adapt the lights though as they are specifically fog lights. Inside there is a semi circle of metal to prevent the light going upwards and so only light is sent down onto the immediate road in front.

I took the piece of metal out so its a full projection and lights the road up nicely. Been through an MOT with them on no problem like that too.

How do you get at the nut at the back of the left front bolt behind the oil cooler? I haven't many swear words left to use!!
Those ones were buggers to fit, there was me and my pal fitting the bars, using a short ring spanner but the other guy was spotting the location from the other side of bike, once in position we tightened the cap head bolt on the allen key.

be patient, we lined everything up loose first and tighted the difficult bolts first.

Bought myself a set from Triumph-online. Rapid delivery but as you guys have said, only one page of A4 with german instructions.
I took the easy route. Took them down to my local dealer. Two hours later and £20 lighter, I got them back all fitted well. He said even with help from his buddy, they were a bitch to fit! They sure do look good though. Here's hoping I never put them to the test, eh?
Stay safe
