Yeah don't worry, this picture was an afterthought just as the sun was goin down. I will definitely post more pictures tomorrow after my ride, sans vw.

And yeah, I guess I spoke too soon about finishing the mods. I still need to upgrade the rear shocks, blinkers, and air box. And then, who knows. HAHA

I know the perfect place to take your black and white nostalgia portrait. The McDonalds in Lakewood,on 100th St. SW ,between Bridgeport and Gravelly Lake Dr. is a period perfect replica from the late 50s and early 60s with the big golden arches bracketing the the all glass front.Every time I pass it at work,I wish I was on my bike for pic. :(

Here's a picture I took from my ride today near Tacoma on Marine View Dr.

Dang, wish I had known you were out and about. That place in the pic is about a mile from from my house.I`d like to have checked out those pipes compared to the Predators. Maybe next time. There`s also a new guy on the site from Kent. Maybe he will be "PM ready" by the time it quits raining. :-D

Yeah Rodburner, next time it gets nice, let's go for a spin. It was a gorgeous day today. I blasted through the streets of downtown Tacoma and just sort of tried to get lost checking out the town. Just PM me, I would love to ride with you. I will PM you next time I go out. I'm planning on going on the whidbey tour next saturday with the lynnwood rat group, let me know if you're going too, we can go up there together if you want...

Seriously cool bonnie picture with the old building. If this is representative of your skill level you should seriously consider selling bonnie prints.

I have it as my screen saver at work!

Nice bike, nice pics!

How are you achieving the excellent vintage look in the images?
Camera settings - photoshop...? Just wondering... they
look great!

Cheers,

Yeah, maybe I should do a wiki article on it. Basically, you just fiddle with the picture in photoshop until you get it. It's all about getting the contrast/brightness right. For the first picture, I shot that at dusk so even on a digital camera, when you bump up the brightness, you get some raunchy film style grain on it.
