Gotta agree with you on that one. Looks like they matched the font of the gang stamp. But the file marks alone would make on question the legitimacy regardless of the numbers.

At the end of July 1961, Triumph had an order for the Yugoslavian Police. The majority (97 bikes) were 6T Thunderbirds fitted with radio tanks. The last 4 bikes were T120R Bonneville’s and D15656 was the last one of the order.

T120R D15656 built on 24th July 1961 and fitted with gearbox 128828, solo ratios and QD rear wheel. It was dispatched to Interpromet, PO Box 328, Belgrade, Yugoslavia on 5th August 1961.

Hey pre unit Thruxton, how did you get all that information on the 61 Bonneville you listed above? I have a 70 T120R frame I purchased on ebay and would like to know who the dealer was that received the bike from the factory. I have the original pink slip that shows it was first registered in Maryland but I don't know who the dealer was. Do you have or know where I can get that kind of information?
