Anyone bought a Street Triple that came without TPMS installed and then had the dealership do it afterwards? Seems like the parts are around $250 but I'm wondering what they'd charge for the physical install. I know the computer needs to have a tool plugged into it for the TPMS system to be activated as well, and this same tool turns off the "service" light. Are any of these tools in circulation amongst non-Triumph dealers?

My front tpms battery died this year. I bought the sensors online from a certified triumph dealer and installed the front one myself (had a local bike shop take tire off the rim then put it back afger i installed the sensor).
As you eluded, sensor not working without triumph actually programming it into the ecu.
Here in New England the triumph dealers quoted me about $250 per axle to program the ecu with new sensor. Absolute daylight robbery. To this day I am riding with it not programmed.
And no, there are no aftermarket gizmos that can do that. I have asked around.
