Average 275 F with fan on and 10 min warm up. Anyone do any IR temps? The IR gauges are getting cheap, but are the accurate?

Yes they are accurate and inexpensive compared to just a few years ago.

I have an infrared thermo-meter. If I'm told where to shine the little red dot I can get some readings...
Stick it, Oops I mean shine it were the sun doesn't shine. I would take a couple of measurements holding your mini temp gun very close to and below the exhaust. Using some sort of gage to get a couple of readings an inch inside the can and then get another reading a few inches inside the can.

You could also do a reading with the temp gun held up against the can looking dead on down the barrel. You might need to clean the leans of the temp gun between readings because of moisture and film from the exhaust gases.
