one thing i noticed is that the stock header has a crossover
tube connecting the three tubes .

the zard is just three straight tubes


i have it on unreliable information that a crossover reduces back pressure at the exhaust valve , there by in creasing torque in the low range .


so would it help the zard to have a crossover .


i still have to get a good tune in it first

really rich on the low end right now

You're probably right. But then it would be more expensive with too many joints. Solved by having it in one piece but then it would be difficult to pack and post.
I wouldn't worry too much about it.

It's funny, I always thought reducing back pressure in the low range reduced torque. I still got a lot to learn, I guess.
