Does anyone know who makes engine bars to suit a Trophy 1200?

Thanks GG

I don't think bars are available.
Sliders are though.

GG, I bought sliders off Ebay. Only £17.50 including P+P, from user engineeringsolutions.

He's still selling them. See item number 300084755270.

I wouldn't expect them to help much in a 'proper' prang. But they look like they'll protect from a zero or slow speed drop.

Martin.

Hi Martin,

I bought a set from them too!! I was looking whether anyone made anything similar to thase used on honda Pan European's, as opposed to actual bars.

By the way, when are you looking to go on that ride out you mentioned previously? Once the warmer weather starts there will be no stopping me!!

Regards, GG

GG,
I'm glad you asked, 'cos I keep wishing my life away waiting for some of this year's runs.

So far I've got the following ones sorted:

Postcombe Run 31st March & 1st April 2007
Isle of Wight Run 5th & 6th May 2007
Cambridgeshire Run & BMF 19th (Run) & 20th (BMF) May
Scotland Run 25th - 28th May 2007
Derbyshire Run 10th June 2007
Fens Run 1st July 2007
Oxon/Berks Run 5th August 2007 (Organised by me)
Wales Run 26th, 27th, 28th
South Coast Run 15th & 16th September 2007
Rutland Run 16th December 2007

All these are 'proper' - which means someone has sorted their fave local roads / stopping places / cigarette breaks / lunch stops. Starts are around 10:30 & most include a mix of folks who stay over nearby & drink beer & other folks who travel to the starting point on the day. (Always a breakfast place.)

Mix bag of riders / machines. Range from half a dozen to over 60 bikes. (Except we don't get many sports bike riders - no discrimination - we just don't seem to attract 'em!)

I've been on these runs on my 1995 Trophy 1200, a Yamaha Diversion 600, a Honda CX500, my current 1997 Trophy 1200, a Fazer 1000 - so even my own rides show what a mixed bag can turn up ;-)

Of course, plenty of ad-hoc outings tend to spring up too ;-)

If you fancy any - I can give you more details. It would great to meet up.

Still commuting regularly - & I did the Dragon Rally earlier this month. Get your bike out, & ride

Martin.
