Ron Ayers is having a sale on select tires. My rear had a plug & 2 non-leaking drywall screws in it before I started scraping it against my luggage brackets, so I thought I'd see if they had my D220s on sale.

It's weird. I suspect it's an incorrect listing. Dunlops are not part of the tire sale, & most of the D220s are the usual $90-120. All but the 160/60ZR18 Rear, which happens to be the right size for my Trident. That particular tire is listed at $47.99. They charge $10 apiece for shipping tires, so that makes it just under $60 to my door.

Seems almost too good to be true! Well, I added one to my cart & went to check out. My cart contained only 1 item, which was a mini speedo w/ reset, MPH. Hmmm...

So, I called Dennis Kirk & asked 'em to match the price. They left me on hold forever, then came back & said the tire wasn't a tire, but rather a speedo. They wouldn't match the price.

So, I called Ron Ayers & told the guy that my tire was showing up as a speedo in my cart. He said he'd be glad to take my order over the phone, & did so! :-D

Anyway, if anybody with an 18" rear is looking for a D220, you might want to jump on this one!

I ordered on the 12th & the guy on the phone said it would take a week to 10 days to arrive. When I left for work this morning, there was a tire sitting in my hallway, complete with an invoice for $57.99 & a $189.00 price tag! Sweet! :-D
