What do you guys think? I was at the ducati dealer trying to sneak a peak at the 1098, and the muiltistrada caught my eye. I loved the upright seat position and simple design. The front was fgly, but the rear was nice. It seems like it handles well! but who kknows.

with 71k on the sp3, i need to start thinking of a new bike. Need ideas.. They had a tuono there too, but didnt like it all that much. I liked the new ninja 650 it was pretty neat. But I guess im digging ducatis right now. The monster is my other choice. :)

Met some girls like that!!
Why wouldn't you get a new Speedy. Seems to me to be the best of all worlds, with the exception of 2 up travel.
Looks great, 2 bulbs up front, a beautiful face, and a back side everyone would love to stare at, & it handles like a dream.
I am saving as we speak =, or read =, or write ....

I think the Tiger or the Multistrada would make great rides. The 2007 Multi has the 1098 engine. The Tiger - of course - has the 1050. What's not to like from either bike? And with Ducati's promised 50% lower maintenance costs, the two appear equal to me. Replace a Speedy? Maybe not. Add to a Speedy? Sure!

If you're interested in a bike like the Multisdtrada I would look seriously into the new Tiger, I had run around the neighbourhood on one yesterday and I love it!! I won't trade my Tiger in on it just yet 'cos I have my Speedy that I just love so she's not being traded either. But I can say that the bike is GREAT it could do with a bit more grunt but that can also be sorted with pipe, map etc.

What about the KTM Superduke? You wanted something that handles well and has a comfortable rididng position. That bike has exceptional handling and the seating is almost upright. Test ride one. It'll prolly' be my next bike.

I was torn between the 1000DS and the speed triple when I was bike shopping. I went with the S3 opviously but the DS was awesome. I rode the S model and the dealer had Termi pipes installed. Nothing beats the sounds of a Ducati with Termi pipes! Nice punchy powerband and very comfortable. the deal killer for me was price and maintanence intervals.

+1 bikeman. I was looking at those as well, and a couple of my buddies have the S model that I rode and really liked. But I'm glad I went with the S3.

The KTM Supermoto is a great bike. If you don't ride for long distances, the seat is tolerable. Otherwise, it's awful and (AFAIK) there are no aftermarket solutions. Also, with the kind of miles you ride, I'd be a little unsure about the long run durability/reliability of the KTM.

I concur with XTR. Basically what you've said is she has a but ugly face but look at that rump!

Just hold on to your '00 for another year. I'm betting that there will be a restyled s3 on the horizon soon (with a more sexy derieer!)

But if you have to get a Duc, get a Monster!

roadkill, I'm sure the Mulistrada is a blast to ride, but man, that front end is really fugly. I agree with what a couple of others have said, if you're look'n into that sorta style, can't beat the new Tiger. :-D
yup, pretty ugly. I wonder what it looks like if you took the front plastic off.

I wont be getting a bike for another year or so. But id like to know some options. Im so confused, the problem is too many bikes out there I like.
