I need to replace the rt. front foot peg and the front brake lever on my Scram. I have purchased the replacement parts.

The brake lever swap looks fairly simple. Anything to look out for there?

The foot rest pivot pin is held on by a plug that appears to pop off. Is the plug reuseable? I hope so. Otherwise a two week wait for a 10 cent part.

Hey Hiltz, bad luck on the drop man, must be pissed, what happened? I assume by "plug" you mean the circlip, if you use needle nose pliers and pull straight up,without bending it,you should be able to re-use it. If not any reputable hardware store should have those in stock, just take your old one with you for size. Hope this helps, Rod

Sorry to hear that. Are you OK? Did you hit an ice spot in the mountains?

Nothing dramatic guys. Just dropped it in the garage. Thanks
for the good wishes.

Rod - The part I was asking about is the cap that appears to
retain the piviot pin on the bracket. Thiumph refers to it as
a plug.

I am almost certain that it is a circlip, checked mine and all that holds the pin in is a circlip. Anyone else check to confirm? :???:

I took the clutch lever off on my thruxton to bend it back into shape once, and seem to remember a little spring coming out in the dark. Found it and put it back, but it's been so long I don't remember any details. Just mabey watch out for it.

Jon,

Use your right pillion peg it fits, I know, I've had to do it on two occasions while waiting for parts.
