Hi All,

Just wondering how many of you - like me - have not received a letter for the drag link bolt recall. Obviously I can get the work done without, but having not had a letter for the bags recall either, I am wondering how interested Triumph are in communicating problems with me.

My feeling is that it is up to them to tell me rather than me find out by chance - if it weren't for you guys I would know nothing about it and could be riding around on a dangerous machine! As it is, I have checked the bolt and there is no problem (yet), so I will get it done at the next service.

Cheers,

Django

I haven't received a letter from Triumph and not sure if i ever will, My dealer where i purchased the ST from called and informed me that my vin number fell into the recall category. I also will have my loose left mirror replaced, not a recall just a warranty issue.

Hi All,

Thanks for the responses so far - anyone else in the UK not got it?

I live an hour from the factory so it isn't just the 'Yanks' Kev. I would have thought that this is a basic piece of customer service - they must only have a couple of thousand letters to send worldwide. Database, secretary, best part of a day, Bob's yer Uncle. Or did they all work on the new brochures?

Cheers,

Django

I thought I would wait a while and see if I hear anything. Its a couple hour ride to the dealer and the weather isn't that great this time of year.
I want to see how my dealer is going to handle this.

I'm another Brit that hasn't had a letter (or any communication) from Triumph or my dealer. How hard can it be to mailshot customers in this day and age? Fortunately sites like this one provide an excellent service, shame Triumph don't.

I've heard nothing either - from Triumph or my dealer, who has now gone solus Honda, so maybe not so interested in Triumphs.
I'll have to chase it when I next get home - but big thanks to this forum - you'd think that Triumph would have realised they have to make a bit of effort when there are resources like this available on the web.
