Since I can't find my frame serial number, is there any other identifying items that will tell me if I really have a '73. I know for sure that the engine is a '73.
The frame # is stamped on next to the steering head on the left side.I have a 77 but I think a 73 has right side shift,a 78 would be left side.73 has front disc brake ,rear conical hub drum brake.I think 73s were the last year of the 650s? although 750s were also available.
Other wise I think they are similar the 76/77/78 T140Vs
Thanks for all the help; I finally found the frame number. And thankfully they match. Now I have to decide what to do first and where to start the restoration process. I sure hope that manual gets here fast...
you DO own a camera, right? Point it at this motorcycle and press the button a few times. Then, post those images so that we can see what we ... uhh .. you are dealing with ...
I'm thinking the sissy bar may have to go; they welded it on! Just one more thing to add to my list of crap I have to get.
