Points for creative thinking and execution. But, did you know there was an alternative quick release setup for bonnevilles made from automotive trunk/boot latches? These were being sold by a fellow on the forum but I think he's no longer offering it. I got one before he stopped. Works great.

Yes I'm aware of the other latch, as a matter of fact I bought a used seat latch for a Daytona 675 off Ebay and made one for my bike. If you look you can see screw holes in one of the seat pictures from that experiment. I have a T100 and a Thruxton so I needed two latches for three seats, including a king and queen for when Ms. R wants to ride. I enjoy tinkering and am somewhat of a cheep skate. I have less than five bucks in the two latches and three seat brackets. I'v been using these for over 12,000 miles with ''O'' problems. I thought that others could do the same from the pictures, and would be glad to answer questions. Also can post a picture of the Daytona latch if anyone is interested.
