Guys,
I am wanting to go 18 -45 combo on the gearing on my 03 speedy. I have read many posts, some guys say you get away with the std 108 link chain, others say they needed a 110 link chain, anyone done this setup? Also any recommendations fora decent chain splitter and riveting tool for the job.
Thanks

I'd go with the 110 or more and cut it to length. You can use a dremel or grinding wheel to grind off the rivet heads to remove 1 or more links. It looks like many chains come in lenghths of 120 links or so.

I don't really have an answer for a riveting tool though.

Good luck!

You should be able to find a good chain splitter at any industrial tool supply place. I do lots of chains at work, ALOT. Mostly power rollers and such. For me, counting barrels is easier than counting links. If you get an odd # you know there is a half link in there somewhere. :-D
