Arrrgh! my baby is on the way to the doctor (mecanic) it's dead, well not compleatly if one wants to charge the battery every 10 - 20 minutes while riding it.

The whole thing start with getting heated handlebars fittet (while I had the recall done on thursday), in the evening when I left work it wasn't too keen on starting, then friday morning starting was even slower, and arriving at work (10 km drive) it would not start at all. One of my collegues jump started it, and we let it run for aprox 20 minutes for it to charge the battery, no such luck....

I then called road help, and he checked the battery, which showed that it was flat, he then jump started the bike again, and while it was running we could see that it did not charge the battery.

It's is not on the way to the garage, and hopefully I should have it back sometime next week (with a bit of luck).

:brk:

Anyone had this happen to them before?

Regards/Casper

Sounds to me like a cable has been disconnected somehow?
I've never heard of any common problem for the Triumph.iCompared to Yamaha who had some really bad regulators for a couple of years in a row.
Hopefully the shop will take care of this for you since you didn't have any trrouble prior to getting the heated grips installed.
