Hi all, I have a Daytona 955i centennial edition (2002) and the crank has sheared off at the starter clutch end flush with the casing. I can't find a replacement crank (so far anyway) and was wondering if it might just be easier to get a donor engine. My bike has forged crank, con rods, pistons and liners to create and cope with 147hp compared to earlier 955i engines ranging from 108 to 128hp so I need a 2002 or newer engine. Could I fit a Daytona 06 engine into the frame? Would it be compatible with everything else? I dont fancy putting a Sprint or Speed Triple engine in because of the power loss. If I have to swap out the crank could i use any crank from a 955i 2002 or later as I think the power increase was due to the piston size and compression ratio? Any help/advice/tips etc are greatly appreciated.
