Has anyone tried either, both or been able to compare the two?

The Cycle Cat website shows an included extended clutch cable with their kit and seem to have more adjstment.

The Helibars website says theirs go straight on with no mods.

From the small amount of riding I've done so far on my 675, I know I'm going to need higher bars to be able to get in a full days riding.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Brett.

I actually bought a set of cycle cats bars off ebay and had no problem with installation. I don't recall having to do any modifications and the end result is fanstastic. I'm not sure who designed the stock clipons but they just didn't work for me.

I have been seriously thinking about a 675 for a track bike and possibly a commuter, but having done a test ride last year I knew the commuter part would be difficult given the clip-ons. Zore - you said the end result was "fantastic" - give me more details. Any impact on moving the bike around in corners? This could be the solution I am looking for. Thanks.

Well, I came off a 03 sprint st as a commuter. I also own a monster with clipons and rear sets so I am used to an aggressive riding position, but the 675 bars just didn't feel right. I'm not sure if it's the angle or hight or what, but I never felt comfortable. Could also be that the bike is so narrow and the bars are also not as wide apart. I really didn't have the 675 long enough to get a feel of the handling with or with out the bars. I know I feel more comfortable with the cycle cats so the rest is secondary.
