I have a set on both of my bikes. I absolutely love them.

It's worth the extra money for the LS version. It comes in handy when lane splitting or parking in tight spots, so nobody bumps them.

The CRG mirrors are pricey, but the quality and view they give are great. Copycat versions do not work as well. The CRG's have a very light convex shape to give you a really wide field of vision.

I got 'em, I love 'em, go get 'em!

Seriously, they work very well and very versatile in their positioning.

If you are going to drop the money for CRGs, then I'd go with the lane split. Even if you don't use for their intent of Lane Splitting. It is a very handy feature for tight parking, you can fold them in fast without screwing up their adjustment.

Keeps them from getting tore up or snagged on something. And I have found make a nice Pseudo hook.. :)

Also, CRG has a good parts replacement policy, so if the glass breaks, etc, you don't have to buy a whole mirror assembly.

Words of caution. If you have stock bars, you'll need the adapters. Tomaselli (3 way adj) bars have enough extra length at the end, no adapters needed. (they thought ahead).

No idea if Helibars allow any extra pipe.

P.S. I have had Napoleons on my bike before the CRGs. The CRGs I found vibrate MUCH less.

Good luck in your decision.

I'll "third" those opinions...I have the Lane splitters on my Thrux, and even though I don't use them to actually split lanes, they are very handy for parking, especially in a garage with 12 other bikes/scooters!

Visibility is very good, but stuff that is beyond 20-30 yards behind is very hard to make out( ie, cops!) They stay where you put them as far as adjustments, and they look slick!
Cheers!

Another vote for the CRGs..

Check out this link for something else to think about.

I will agree that the CRG's are great...I did the same thing as above with my existing bar end weights...I took them to a local machine shop with one of the CRG brackets and had them cut a groove in the bar end weights...cost me $10.

I agree with all that they are good mirrors. I have the regular version as opposed to the LS, they fold in too. The magnification takes some getting used to.

I didn't use an adaptor to mount them on my stock clip-ons though. I used a trick someone on here posted. I used a slightly longer bolt and several washers of the correct diameter. Just bolted the washers to the end of the bar and attached the mirror. I also painted the end washer black to blend in. Total cost about $2.

Yeah, I did the washer trick on mine, 3 7/8 in washers did the trick.

I was able to use my stock bolt too, I just wrapped the threads in teflon tape to help it stay in there. 1500 miles and it's still tight and the mirror is fine.

The mirrors are smaller than the stock ones, I only have one on the left side (all that the law here requires) but I'd recommend getting both because of the small size. I haven't yet because I don't know if I want to go with 2 CRGs or get a pair of Rizomas.

I've got a pair of Oberon adjustable mirrors on mine. Love 'em and they're ideal for "lane splitting" as you call it.
Extremely well made and they suit the Thruxton perfectly.
But don't know if they're available on your side of the pond! :)

I have a set and was able to fit them on the standard clip-ons without any problem. It did mean squeezing all the levers and grips up though

I have them. I like them, but because of how low they sit, they force you to really turn your head to look. You can't just glance over with your eyes. My other issue is that at night it is almost impossible to determine how far other vehicles are behind you. Like everything in motorcycling, they're a compromise, but overall I'm happy with mine.

I mounted mine to the stock bars by simply sawing off the end of the CRG adapter and using the stock screw to attach it to the clip-ons.
