Just got these in the mail yesterday and installed them a little while ago...

They look almost identical to the CRG Hindsights, at 1/2 the total cost. All in all it was ~$80 shipped (with optional insurance). Looks pretty hot on the bike.. will post pics when I can.

Good for you- sounds like you got a good deal on them.

However... I have heard bad things about the CRG knockoffs. Apparently they tend to vibrate quite a bit. Let me know though, I'm looking for a cheaper alternative!

My CRG "flip backs" are the best mirrors I have ever owned. Good stuff! No vibrations or problems of any sort. Worth every penny IMHO.Dont know about the copies-buy the real thing and be done!

I got a set of the above ebay mirrors for 50 bucks w/shipping. In my mind, they are acceptable quality for that price.....note I said "acceptable". If I paid for a set of CRGs I would definately expect more for my $$. I needed a set to get rid of the stockers and these fill the void, nothing more.

The glass in both is convex and provides an excellent view of either ditch when looking at either mirror......but hard to tell if that cage is 5 feet behind me or 15.

Black finish is good, one of the screw holes was tapped poorly, the screw was angled into the hole and not completely tightened. Took just a minute to run a tap back thru and fix.

They don't vibrate that I have noticed, although I felt I had to tighten the split bracket asy. more than expected to keep them from moving if I bumped them with my sleeve.

If you wanna save a buck or two and want bar ends, I think these'll fill the bill for ya.

I have both Morax mirrors and CRG's

Motrax are like the ones you bought on Ebay.

I snapped off both Motrax mirrors on my supermoto in 2 different occasions,
Prolly crash more than I should.

The problem with crashing with the CRG's, It may flip back for ya... But it is still ruined. To the tune of $80. ea.
The CRG's will still be in one piece, It just looks like Sheit.

More than likely, You will need to replace the glass-- $10 + $10 to ship.
Found out that info on a diffrent crash.

Now sometimes the glass in the Motrax will rattle, Just loosen the screw and put a small piece of foam rubber behind the glass., Only had to do that once.

As far as vibration, Both only vibrate as much as the bike itself,
I had no problems with visibility with either as far as vibration or angle is concerned.

My single cylinder KTM 625 Supermoto -AKA, Thumper - Will vibration test anything!
Harley's don't vibrate as much.
My girl loves that KTM :-D

If I were to choose again, I would go the cheaper route with the Motrax, looks good, works good.

Sometimes, Motax will put the silver ones on sale, Buy them, Disassemble, Paint with a good satin black, Re-assemble the next day.

Now please excuse me, I've gotta go order another set.

Thanks for that. I'm looking at CRG's, having had them before, but may have to buy one at a time. These may be an alternative, altho' I tend to be a believer in 'you get what you pay for'. The thing that worries me a bit is their blurb about only selling two at a time due to wind presure causing steering problems if you only install one! My sceptic meter starts to vibrate when I read stuff like that.

Motrax....mmmm, jury still out on them!
I bought a set via e-bay and when fitting the first one I removed the bits for inserting into handlebars and set about clamping it on the bar-end. I had it reasonably tight, setting it in right position, and with a final tighten up (not severe!!) the crappy cast clamp went 'POP' and broke under the allen screw. I looked at it and could see that the gap is not made to close up. So I went to get the second mirror from the package and straightaway noticed a break in the same weak spot! Not impressed, I returned them and the UK seller said the mirror rep could tell I had over-tightened them but with goodwill may yet do the right thing and send me good ones. Grrrrr

I agree that the guy who wrote the description of the mirrors had an 8th grade education at best... I put about 60 miles on the bike with them on yesterday (day and night) and had no issues with vibration. The hardest thing about using them is, well, getting used to them. I've never used convex mirrors on a motorcycle before, so it's a little hard to judge how far away the guy in the mirror is... the important thing is that I can actually see him. I no longer get an amazing view of my shoulders :lollol: .

If you have a windshield/auto-glass shop locally, they should be able to make new (flat) glass for you also. I think it cost me $6 for the local guy to replace the mirror glass on my old Cuda. I have been thinking about putting flat glass in one of mine anyway, so maybe I'll have a solid report on that soon.
