We have been talking about what we think, hope or heard the '05 ST will be.

One area we might actually be able to influence (not) might be color.

What colors should the new Sprint STs be and why?

My votes are for Black. Got mine in '99 and it still looks great. Never dated.

Another vote for Racing Yellow (600 Daytona), that will get noticed. :-D

I would like to see a deep blue one. And of course the aluminium silver... just love that colour.

But in any case, one tone only, and not too much stickers on too!

Jet black (underline JET)

Silver is still a hot finish

Racing Yellow for sure

I'll ride any color bike as long as it's black. After that:

BRG
Red (not funky off-shoot re - just red like the current)
Blue (slightly deeper than the current)
Silver
Yellow

Five choices isn't too much to ask for. If you're questioning my math you need to embrace the thought that black should be mandatory - all other colors are options. :razz:

Speaking of this line of thought - how about a return to a non-black motor. Maybe the color of the older RS (pre 02) motors with a slightly darker frame (more like the rim color or deeper).

Gotta have the blue! Anywhere between the current blue and the older blue but that is one of the best looking bikes IMHO!

We almost all agree on the following:

Jet Black (you can't beat the classics)

Racing Yellow

Silver (Aluminum, Platinum, some bare metal equivalent)

Blue (darker seems popular)

BRG (again, can't beat the classics)

Red? (Looks great, but we should leave the Italians and Honda something) :-D

Hopefully they are, but most likely they wouldn't admit it. Could you imagine the amount of stuff they'd have to wade through from us?! That'd be a full time job. With any luck they are lurking and reading and listening and improving.
