i am putting back together a 00 rs and need some input on color i leaning to a candy apple red,dark green or black what do u all think?

Answer paint one side yellow the other red.

Steve's bike looks great! My RS is Racing Yellow and I love it! The only disadvantage is that on bright sunny days, it gets covered in tiny insects. Not a major problem in Scotland, as we don't get many days like that! IMO the bike also looks great in dark metallic blue, green or black. I know that Lucifer(?) Orange is popular and very distinctive, but it doesn't work for me.

The Triumph Strontium Yellow is my choice when my RS starts to look rough. I've always thought that was their best color. The new Scorched Yellow is a close second for me. It's really more gold than the above picture shows. Here's link with a list of Triumph paint and who makes it.........

In temperate Brisbane the bugs bug me too.. I just give it wipe over ever few months. FWIW I have only washed it twice in 18 months !!

I like Dave's idea - Maybe with the Chameleon effect too..

The titanium black looks hot too.

The candy apple red would look V cool. I had a blue ZRX that I had painted Candy apple red. Fantastic colour in the sunlight. Just didn't like the bike as much as the RS.

My RS is BLACK and is the fastest!

Silly boys! It's a no-brainer! Everyone knows British Racing Green is not only the fastest colour but also the best looking, (well, so loads of adoring girls tell me). How about a nice custom paint job? I saw a really cool Ducati in yellow with ghosted flames in it; sounds tacky but actually looked great. Some of the pearl colours look cool as well. Whatever you decide, it'll look great bro! I was going to put a picture of my bike here for your viewing pleasure, but for the life of me can't work out how! Sooooo, it is BRG with wavy Union Jacks airbrushed on the bags. Looks great I think.

P.S. For those that don't believe green is the fastest colour......think about traffic lights. Red = stop, Amber (yellow) = not sure, Green = GO! Ha ha, try getting out of that one! I think it is no coincidence. (Notice how cocky I've become since you guys taught me how to nail the right handers?!) :wink:

Lucifer orange is nice if you want to go the original colours. Get a contrasting bellypan (silver), and hey Yo...

A custom job might be good for this bike though. Why not try, and post a piccie later??

I've had the Lucifer Orange and the Black. The black looks fab with the black engine.
