Hello I recently purchased a 2001 Legend TT. This is the first time i’ve had a bike with a wet clutch and my haynes manual isn’t here yet. the clutch doesn’t grab until 90% out. Is there a way to adjust this? Or is this suggesting i need a anew clutch. The bike only has 6000 miles. Thank you

Don't confuse a wet clutch (runs in an oil bath) with a hydraulically actuated clutch. Many (most?) bikes have wet clutches. A hydraulically actuated clutch is self adjusting. If it's slipping then there's a mechanical problem; most likely it's just worn. I wouldn't expect this with only 6000 miles, though.

One possibility is someone put the wrong oil in the engine. Wet clutches don't like "Energy saving" oils. Make sure any oil you use meets the JASO-MA or -MA2 spec.

I’ll give her an oil change and bleed the clutch once i get the manual in the mail. I’m hoping that’s all it is with such low mileage. What type of oil is recommended?

That's a good way to start an argument...

Anything with the JASO-MA rating will do. I like Shell Rotella T-6. It's reasonably priced, full synthetic, and has the right rating. Find it in the Diesel oil section at Walmart for $20/gallon.

I’ve been a fan of castrol and i saw triumph now recommends castrol. it’s hard to tell what’s jaso-am rated, will the gtx sae10-40 work? https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/COR112?cid=paidsearch_shopping_dcoe_google_monthly-special_201908&&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrZS9mvv94wIVjq_ICh2KRw-gEAQYBCABEgKXAPD_BwE
