If you remember I was between 3 bikes:
I'd seen 3 on www.motos.net

1. 2001 tangerine with accessories. 38k kms 6,500ۍ

2. 1998 twin pipe red with accessories. 50k kms 5,000€

3. 2004. black + yellow no accs. 5000kms + 5000€ BUT with damaged tank, clocks mudguard and light. engine and rest in tact.

In the end I may end up getting the damaged one. There's a breaker who can get me all the parts for around 1,000€.

I have to travel and look at it on Saturday and perhaps buy it the same day. The guy who runs the repairshop that is selling it for a customer said he'd take it the 300kms back to Barcelona for me (at a price). I'll keep you informed!!
Maybe I'll be joining the club

Good luck!!
Thanks Chris.

Well, I'm going down to see it tomorrow. Leave at 5am for the 3-hour trip and if I like it the seller will trailor it back up to Barcelona for me and leave it at a Triumph dealer. I'm excited and just a bit anxious with anticipation. I really want a TBS especially after seeing some of the examples on this site

Please explain:
If you really want a TBS, *** do you have a huge pic of an '07 Speed Triple in your sig?

*** is YOUR problem pal? This is your third answer to my posts, and each one is some form of 'criticism'. How about a bit of politeness? Something like: "Good luck tomorrow, so what's with the Sp3 pic?"

No-one has to have a 'logical' reason to do something. If you're not sure ask politely.

The truth is that I've got a Speed Triple already, I love the look of the 2007 but I also really like the TBS. That's the photo I have now, maybe I'll have another next week.

Think before you post

So why not a pic of YOUR S3 in your sig?

Consider that most people posting here know what a stock '07 S3 looks like (look on the Triumph website)and that you are posting to the Hinckley Classics forum and NOT the S3 forum.

Many of us here like the look of many bikes too but I don't see large promotional pics of them in sig files.

The common practice, on this site at least, is to set up a photo album and link to it in your sig file, (as you will see in parrycms and my own postings) or a small pic of you or YOUR bike in your sig.

Also consider that some people on here are using dialup and pics the size of your sig take ALOT more time and resources to download and that your pic takes up more space than the actual posting, which may cause a thread to go over more than one page.

I am sure that most posters on this forum would much prefer to see a pic of YOUR TBS if and when you get it.

And YES, think before you post.

We came to abn agreement about a good philosophy on T595.net years ago, and it's:

"It's not WHAT you say, but HOW you say it."

I don't care what people say if they can say it in a polite or amusing way. Your posts lack these two ingredients. You also haven't added anything relevant to the thread's subject. So, start a new one or send a private message.

I got a private message once on another forum saying:

"Could you make the photo smaller."
(It's HOW you say it especially if you don't know the person).

Which I did. The photo you put is a personal choice, and if it's a nice looking Triumph on a Triumph site then all the better.

Take it on board and let's move on.

Anyway... looks like you bought the TBS. Congrats!

You mean something like the PM I sent to you 8 days ago?

Just a suggestion:

A huge pic of a S3 tends to overwhelm the thread a bit.
You could also add a link to it as many other members do.

Anyway thanks for fixing the pic and good luck with the 04 TBS restoration
