I received a Chilli Heated Vest for Christmas. I'm looking forward to installing it however I'm having some diffcultiy finding a good location for the controller. It has a knob for varying the heat. I would like to mount it to the front fairing so that I can view it while riding. The battery leads are long enough to reach the front fairing however the cord from the controller to the vest is on 6" long. Any advise or experience with this vest?

My wife has somthing similar,she either keeps it in her winter riding jacket pocket or ,We used velcro strips on the back of the control and put it on the tank protector.You could make a longer jumper cable. the conectors look like they`re automotive type trailer lighting conectors from any automotive parts store.

I hadn't thought about the tank protector. I didn't want to use the velcro on the painted parts however the tank protector may just work. Thanks for the help.
