This may have been answered somewhere else and I apologize if I overlooked it in my search.

I'm curious about the charging system on my 09 Bonnie.

Does the bike's stator put out enough juice to charge the battery when the bike is just idling?

Also, I noticed yesterday that when my turn signals flash, my headlight dims just a little bit. Is this normal?

Thrid question. I had a dead battery a few weeks ago but I was able to get the bike jump started, but a few seconds after the bike was disconnected from the other power source, it shut down. Is this normal?

Sounds like you need to put your battery on a charger and try to bring it all the way
back up to full charge (assuming it will accept a charge). I wouldn't plan on trying to
charge it at idle: output at idle is very low. How old is the battery, and why did it go
dead in the first place?

I have charged the battery to full with a charger.

the battery went dead because I'm dumb and left the ignition on too long.

I will have to try charging it again. I charged it a few weeks ago and didn't notice the headlight thing until a couple days ago.
